no, game just exits. safety thread just runs in the background and every 2 seconds checks if there was next frame. if not, it terminates the game and returns to system.
grim API blocks some important key events like ctrl+alt+delete. so, when application using it will be stuck, you have no way to exit from it. that's why i made safety thread.
plus, that was my first win32 based mulitithreading sys. now i learned enough to set up more threads, and for example fully separate game physics and rendering, or have thread coordinating net play. this expands my possibilities a lot.
i'm not sure if i said it, but now you can save screens (sadly only in BMP format), with printscreen button (on my keyboard above insert, delete and left arrow).
prepare yourself. you can't imagine what am i preparing. except ANYthing (well, except few things)...
EDIT: i'm not going to enable game saving, savefiles would be 2 easy to h4xx...

hmm... Nice news! (what he's thinking when he says prepare yourself...)!!!!
I don't mean saving the game, I just mean that "continue" you get when you pause the game.

well, if game crashes, it does it in middle of "frame function", and believe me, it's impossible to step into this function to the point the game crashes. continue you got before, was just other framefunction, and you never steeped out of game at the moment you pressed pause key, only at the end of game function.
intro func, menu func, game func, - they are just functions, and it's just impossible to get into the middle of them in any normal way...
