Knowing Tero as much as I do (I don't). He'll probably write his own story, even if he used one of ours, it would be edited beyond recognition.

nothing. but itll come. well actually heres the work in progress.
CRIMSONLAND
In the year 2775 the human empire had expanded far out into the universe. But all was not well. A great depression of loneliness had come over general Kane. A feeling of isolation. As if it was true, they are the only living force in existence. Then they found it. The ancient ruins on megnes X, what is now known as the first of the dead worlds? Only arcioligist were allowed onto the planet but Kane was smarter. Sent down corporation espionage agents to find out what was down there. What they found was a portal a dead portal. But it left strange warp signatures to others. So agents orders Kane pushed his millions of marines and groups of captured scientists of to find what was there. What was there was pretty much the same, except for one. This one was still usable (it was open) in a ruined city. The groups of elite marines ad pro scientists were sent through. They found an advanced alien race. Civilised, and had mastered the devices of genetic engineering. For 300 years the human race and there new allies co-existed peacefully. The kane's 100 million army acting as these creatures vanguard troops in exchange for new tech until one day. The portal cut out. It took 10 years to apply human science to re-open it. The portal was very unstable. But still the ministers back on earth demanded the troops and scientists to move in. After just going a few hundred meters in the people were swarmed. All were killed. Except one. An unknown captain from another pointless regiment. The avatar regiment. Using the backup generator he crated a warp blast knocking out every alien within a 200-mile radius. This blast also affected him. The more he killed the more the rage inside him grew coming out in unexpected factors. Maybe it would cause his gun to speed up dramatically or his rage-channelling out into fireballs. Also with that blast it created a rift of communication. Enabling him to contact the people on the other time. Explaining what happened. Also the rift was able to send dead materials into creatures as capsules which when the alien was killed could be attain. The ministers say that the gate will be open in time but he will have to deal with the ever changing climate and the creatures that are constantly growing stronger. But the most important reason is this why. Why has this happened?

Nice story. I like everything except for the explanation for perks and bonuses, the soldier should be more oblivious.

I just didn't like the marines-and-other-people part of the story.
I think: the principal CL story is, you are alone in that world, with lizards-zombies-creatures-and-blood. Why more people? With another "moon civilization", I think the principal idea of the CL, "You are alone with lots of alien guns and a box of "unlimited amunnition" will be gone with it.
For me? Just new missions , quests and weapons are fine.
But that's what I think, if there WILL be a SKIPPABLE story, that's fine too.

there is shiny day. You and your family were having party in your garden on birthday of your son. Then you came to basement to bring fresent which was hidden there. meanwhile, skies start getting dark. -Mommy, look, it's sun eclipse! then, wiev of partially eclipsed sun, and when almost total, suddenly something dark flies and covers all the screen. then wiev from basement, you're holding present, then you hear loud scream. you pick pistol hanging on the wall, and go out to see what had happened; you see dark shapes in where garden table stood, then you see pair of red eyes. you shoot and put bullet trough head of monster, it pierces, and flies further. closeup on bullet; and bloody text on it: Crimsonland 2: Troopers revange. then bullet flies away, and all fades out.

Lol, let's face it, you can't put a story to crimsonland, the only story I would accept it one like pitch black the movie but more mysterious, you wake up in a field, the sun sets, another rises, and all hell breaks loose

I think you can put a story to CL, but not everybody would like it. I think that if Tero put hellfire's story into it, we would all like it. I think if Tero made a story that none of us liked here, we'd like it in the game.

Yes, it's all relative. Ah well, as long as the game doesn't suck and the story is skippable I'm happy.

Eh. Story can be explained entirely with quest level names.
Anything more than that is unneccessary.

Yes, the only story that is needed is a decent continuation of quest levels.

If you look at the first few quest titles from CL and stretch your imagination a little, you can kinda pick up that there might have been some kind of story idea. Maybe it took too long, was too big an obstacle, whatever, and they just wrote "Fuck" on it and dropped the idea.
