Maybe there should be a rare perk, bullet engineering: which allows you to combine weapon types. So, if you pick up an ion bullet powerup, you can still then pick up a shotgun powerup. mmmmm..... Ion splitting jackhammer Yay! ;D 5 pages

that'd be awesome in boss levels if the weaker monsters flocked around or behind the boss or other larger monsters, of course then they'd stop chasing yu. It's be hard to do. no it wouldn't be. Alein Squads. Bam. There you go. another 6 lines of code could make them behave defensively.

Hmmm.... Smart Well, all the better then. Plus I'm no programmer I was just going by logic. Defensive behaviour would be sweet. Could they make them hide behind destructable environment stuff?

I e-mailed Tero, the reply reads: Hello Jim, Yeah, it's been keeping busy. I did post one reply at the forums a few days back though. Anyway as I've said, I have read (and will keep reading) your ideas (that's some good stuff!) and the general line is actually very much same I've thought for the game myself. I think we're going to start posting stuff on crimsonland.com, maybe something like a developer diary or something. It'll take at least a couple of weeks before we can get everything together though. Anyway thanks for everything you've already done. It's nice to know people are looking forward to the game Cheers, Tero

Hehe, I love Tero, he replies to emails! Even from people like me!! Anyway, here's what he said in reply to my email, which I found inrteresting..... two sequels?? Hey,
Thanks, it's always good to hear people are enjoying the game. I'm actually surprised how many people have offered us donations. However if you want to donate money to us, just purchase CL2 when it's out.
Anyway CL2 is proving to be a lot more work than I thought. We're actually considering making two more Crimsonland games out of it: one concentrating on multiplayer/network play and the other one on single player experience. That way we'd have a chance finishing the (first) game this year.
We might run a larger beta test for the game when the time comes, but I'm not sure yet. Either case, I'll continue posting stuff on crimsonland.com as things get done.
Cheers, Tero
Sounds like a) We'll be lucky to get a new crimsonland this year and b) We'll have two games to play.... I wonder if they'll cost twice as much? *shrugs* Heh, I'll buy them both either way :Pand c) Possible Beta testing, Wooo! Pick me, pick me!!

I have a knack for making programs crash.. That's what beta testers are for xD!

speaking of crashing... I once got my character stuck inside a monster once, in... I think it was half life.... it was pretty sweet. i got dragged around as the monster ran about and shot in random directions, trying to kill me.

Buildings wont be much fun unless some decent path finding is in the new engine. Crimsonland originally had pretty bad pathfinding which is why the original quest mode was scrapped, which did actually have you going from building to building.
